Technology

The Naradana Platform is designed to run independent from any specific technology. Still, it is implemented on base of a given technology, of course. As development platform, we intentionally chose a very well established technology to make sure that the framework is independent from any "hype" technology that maybe will become as meaningful as it currently looks.

The current implementation of Naradana Solutions Framework is based on:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2000 or 2003
  • Microsoft Internet Information Server 5.0 or 6.0
  • Microsoft Active Server Pages 3.0
  • Microsoft JScript 1.5
  • Microsoft Active Data Objects 3.5 (tested with MS Access driver)

Explicitely supported (i.e. tested) browsers are:

  • Mozilla Firefox 2.0
  • Mozilla Firefox 3.0
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0

Future technology support is already planned to be included in later version of the Naradana Solutions Framework:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Java Server Pages
  • mySQL and other DBMSs

Our test schemas will be extend to the following browsers, as soon as they will have gained significant market share:

  • Future versions of Firefox
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0
  • Google Chrome
  • Apple Safari
